Usain Bolt,  Jamaica Born : 1986 in Trelawny, Jamaica. Bolt is the sprint sensation who rose to world prominence with his 3 Olympic gold medals at Beijing, all in world record times - 100 metres, 200 metres and 4 x 100 metres relay. With his charismatic personality and seemingly effortless running, he has become the face of Athletics. The "Lightning" Bolt confirmed his dominance with a sensational new world record in the 100 metres at the Berlin World Championships - 9.58 seconds followed by an equally amazing 19.19 world record in the 200 metres !! The 2011 World Championships saw another truly shocking result when he false-started  in the 100 metres final but he redeemed himself by retaining his 200 metres crown.
