Hicham El Guerrouj, Morocco Born : 1974 in Berkane, Morocco. Current World No 1 at 1500 Metres. World record holder both outdoor and indoor, El Guerrouj has surprisingly not achieved Olympic gold. Four times World Champion, he has been dominant on the Grand Prix circuit. Achieved the marvellous Olympic double of 1500 metres and 5000 metres in Athens
