Swimming Career Highlights
Dawn Fraser, Australia Born : 1937 in Sydney. Fraser is the only swimmer to win 3 consecutive gold medals in any swimming event. She won the 100 metres Freestyle in 1956, 1960, 1964. Holder of the 100 metres Freestyle world record for 14 years ! First woman to break the 1 minute barrier for the 100 metres.
