Swimming Career Highlights
Pieter van den Hoogenband, Holland Born : 1978 in Maastricht. The most successful European freestyler to challenge the might of the Australians in recent years. His double gold at the Sydney Olympics in the 100 and 200 metres was his career highlight. Current 100 metres Freestyle world record holder. He repeated his 100 metres Olympic gold in Athens.
