Born : 1956 in Soldertaljie. Initially a clay court specialist, Borg adapted to the demands of grass and won Wimbledon a record five consecutive times. In addidtion he won six French Open titles. Borg led the advance of Swedish tennis and after his titanic battles with John McEnroe surprisingly retired in his mid-20`s with "burn out".
